Call for Works: My Chinese New Year

How many years have you been in China?

After bidding farewell to the past 2021, we are now welcoming the new year.

Would you like to share with us your wonderful moments in the coming Chinese New Year?

We sincerely invite you to show your family and friends or the tasteful dishes, to record your interactions with your Chinese friends and their family members, or to give your comments after watching the Spring Festival Gala for this year. Do come and show us your happy moments and your feelings in this Chinese New Year with your words or your camera!

I. Participants

International Students of Tongji University.

II.Topic requirements

1、What you know and how you feel about the Chinese New Year;

2、Your interesting moments on this holiday.

Requirements for essay

1. Written in English or Chinese;

2. No less than 200 Chinese characters or 500 English words in length;

3. Only files in .doc, .docx or .txt formats will be accepted.

Requirements for photo

1、All submitted photos should be of high resolution (above 300 dpi);

2、No more than three photos;

3、A short description about the photo(s) in one sentence.

Requirements for Vlog

1、Duration: 3 to 5 minutes

2、Language: English/Chinese/Your mother tongue

3、Subtitle: English

4、Resolution: 1080p.

5、Video can be submitted in individual or in group (international students shall be in the majority)

The name for the the attached file should be in the following format:

Essay/Photo/Vlog (choose one)+Rtudent ID+Chinese name of the participant+nationality+the title of the work.

The submitted work must be original and not submitted for any other activities. The participant shall have a complete copyright for the work, and ensure that the work does not infringe the legitimate rights and interests of third parties, including copyright, portrait rights, reputation rights, privacy rights, etc.

All the participants can get the Certificate of Participation. All the submitted works will be reviewed by a professional panel and online voting. Our winners will be awarded, and their works will be shown on our official website.
